The task was to create a subscription tea box that featured different countries. Each box comes with tea from a specific country, a teacup, a spoon, a coaster, and a booklet with information on the tea and “tea” on the country (i.e. what is going on in the country).
Spread The Tea creates an experience for the customer that is joyful and makes them interested to learn.

The creation of the box took a few steps, after I had the idea down about tea from a country with an informational booklet, I had to research competitors and come up with an original idea for the branding and aesthetic. I wanted the branding to feel welcoming and playful, and be easily implemented across various objects. I also considered the color scheme carefully to be reflective of the selected country, India. Overall I liked designing in a way that involved various processes but still making everything look and feel cohesive.
Spread The Tea comes with an accompanying booklet with information on the teas in the package, where they are grown, the history behind them, the health benefits, and how to brew them. It also has the “tea” on the country, here specifically it has information on the country of India, its history, politics, and religions.

I learned how to create box dielines and the process of designing custom boxes, including making box inserts. I wanted some things in the box to be custom designed to the brand, so I laser etched the spoon and coaster. Every aspect of the box needed to be thought out, even tea bag tags, and the labels on the honey.
